Galway Chamber is delighted to announce Marilyn Gaughan Reddan, has been appointed to the board of Chambers Ireland

 

Following the Chambers Ireland Annual General Meeting held on Wednesday 25th September, Galway Chamber is delighted to announce that Marilyn Gaughan Reddan, CEO of the Galway Culture Company and former board member of the Galway Chamber has been appointed to the board of Chambers Ireland.

Marilyn served with the board of Galway Chamber for a busy and highly productive four years, some her achievements have included;

· The establishment of the first business award for culture and creativity

· Enhanced EU and International relationships and funding

· Establishment of the culture meets business programme which fosters connections between cultural organisations and businesses in Galway

· Increased council membership of the culture and creative sector.

Commenting on her appointment, newly elected President of the Galway Chamber, Cáit Noone stated “Marilyn is a highly regarded leader and voice for business, International relations and culture in Galway and the West, we are delighted with her appointment to the country’s largest business network. Chambers Ireland comes together to lobby government on their shared challenges. This ensures that the challenges which businesses face are heard throughout the country and that every politician at every leave understands how they are affecting businesses in their region, we are delighted to have a regional voice at this important table”

Marilyn Gaughan Reddan stated “I am deeply honoured to be appointed to the board of Chambers Ireland. I am grateful to the board of Galway Chamber for nominating me and to the board of Chambers Ireland for electing me, and I am really looking forward to supporting Ian Talbot and his team, President Margaret Considine and the Chambers Ireland Board”.
